About Us
Mocha Moms, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
and the premier organization for sisterhood, support and service for mothers of color.
Founded in 1997, Mocha Moms has evolved into a powerful national network. Through our local chapters and online presence, we provide a vital support system for women of color as they journey through all phases of motherhood. We are dedicated to advocating for the well-being of our families and communities nationally, while encouraging a spirit of activism and providing a platform for mothers to connect, grow, and lead.
The North Fulton Chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc. is a dedicated community for mothers of color throughout Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell, and surrounding areas. We cultivate a safe space for genuine connection, mutual support, and meaningful service, empowering our members through every stage of motherhood.
We believe that while motherhood is a universal journey, it is best traveled with a supportive "village" by your side.
The requirements for membership are minimal: just $70 for yearly dues and a commitment to our shared mission. Welcome to the North Fulton Chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc.
The Heart of Our Sisterhood
Support & Connection
Motherhood is a journey best shared. From our "Mocha Minis" playdates where our children grow together, to our Book Club, Moms’ Night Out, Couples Nights, and Mocha Singles events, we provide consistent opportunities for genuine friendship, social outings, and intellectual engagement.
Our chapter is designed to be a "soft landing," a dedicated space for the connection and conversation that make our community strong. We take pride in our Signature Events, where we gather to celebrate our traditions and milestones. There is always a place for you here.
Scholarship & Service
Our chapter’s heartbeat extends beyond our sisterhood and into the community through several impactful initiatives. Driven by a collective spirit of service, we are committed to making a tangible difference in the neighborhoods we call home.
Central to our work is our signature scholarship program, funded by our annual silent auction, through which we are proud to award a marquee scholarship of $1,000 along with several Mocha Merit awards to support local students.
Health & Wellness
We believe in the power of nurturing the woman behind the "Mom" title. Our health and wellness initiatives are dedicated to "filling our own cups" through consistent restoration and connection. From our Monthly Wellness Walks and curated Wellness Challenges to intentional moments of mindfulness, we prioritize the physical and mental well-being of every sister.
Whether we are grounding ourselves through deep conversation over coffee, recharging at a Chapter Spa Day, or engaging in self-care workshops, our programming provides a vital space for every Mocha to rest, refuel, and thrive.
Education & Resources
We are committed to equipping our members with the tools and knowledge to lead with confidence. We offer educational workshops and leadership development opportunities that support our roles as mothers, professionals, and community members.
By sharing resources and learning together, we empower one another to grow and excel in every season of life. This commitment to growth is reflected in initiatives like Mochas on the Green, where we build confidence and community through golf, and our Occupy Schools workshops, which empower parents to become informed advocates and leaders within our educational systems.
